If you're someone who regularly interacts with this sub, you may notice comments that sound very generic. Sometimes they read as plausible or even pleasant at face value and you may not think twice about it. However in many cases, these comments are left by LLM bots... not real humans.

Bot Bouncer is an app that helps combat this problem. The benefit is that bots identified by Bot Bouncer are banned from all other subs which also have Bot Bouncer installed. For example- if a bot is identified and banned from r/travel (a sub also using Bot Bouncer), then that same bot is automatically unable to comment in any other sub with Bot Bouncer installed, including r/Bonsai . Eventually those profiles are banned from reddit entirely.

If you spot a bot, please report it! In addition to the AI-sounding/ChatGPT nature of these bot comments, they also never seem to comment in the same subreddit more than once or even twice.…
