Katt Williams is not backing down on his claim that he was the inspiration behind Stephen Curry shooting from waaaaay downtown. During his interview on the latest episode of 7PM in Brooklyn , Katt was asked about his 2024 appearance on Good One: A Podcast where he explained how he factored into Curry becoming the shooter he is today. The comedian started off by joking that he also taught 7-footer JaVale McGee how to play basketball when the former NBA player was 12 years old and they were around the same height. "That’s why he can’t play good above the rim because I couldn’t show him nothing," he said. Katt made it clear that Steph already knew how to play the game of basketball, but the 53-year-old comedian’s long distance approach is what he took away from him. “I was explaining to him that the way that I play basketball is there’s no such thing as I’m not open, I’m always open.
