what's one task you wish you could do without opening an app

some tasks are so small that opening an app feels like more work than the task itself. setting a timer. replying with a quick ok to a message. skipping a song.

you unlock the phone, find the app, find the control, do the thing, and then you're back on the home screen wondering what you were doing before.

so what's yours? genuinely curious what small stuff people would pull out of apps if they could.
