De’Aaron Fox is the least popular man in South-Central Texas right now, as his brain fart in Game 4 of the Spurs’ crushing loss to the Knicks greatly helped pave the way for New York to ultimately break its decades-long title drought. With the Spurs up one point in the closing seconds of Game 4, Fox grabbed a loose ball. Instead of trying to take valuable seconds off the clock and forcing the Knicks to foul, Fox went in for a layup. It was blocked by OG Anunoby , and we all know what Anunoby did on the other end of the floor moments later. With Fox’s value at an all-time low, it seems on the surface that no team would be interested in swinging a deal for the two-time NBA All-Star. But, for many savvy GMs in the history of the NBA, this represents a perfect buy-low scenario for a player that averaged 18.6 points and 6.2 assists this season.
