Right now, we're in the midst of a whole generation of young hardcore bands resurrecting the epic metalcore sound of the late '90s and early '00s, and Crowquill, from Leeds, are part of it. Crowquill got together in 2024, and they found a style that evokes the jagged, feral grandeur of Jane Doe -era Converge. After a self-titled 2025 EP and another one called Erase The File earlier this year, Crowquill will release their full-length debut Slept With Cannula next month. "Cannula," its lead single, is both chaotic and extremely heavy, and I encourage you to listen below.
