Honest question, not a survey for a startup.
I’ve been shipping with Claude Code almost daily for about a year now, first for a client’s platform (sports app, ~1M users) and now for my own stuff. Rough numbers on my side: the Claude Max plan plus API usage for the agent runs comes to somewhere between $200 and $400 a month depending on how many tickets I push through it. That’s more than my hosting, which still feels weird to say.
What I’m curious about from people actually running a SaaS:
- Which tools are you paying for (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, something else)?
- Monthly spend, roughly?
- Does it actually replace dev hours for you, or is it mostly autocomplete with extra steps?
- Has the spend gone up or down over the last 6 months?
- Rough monthly revenue, so we can see what the spend is actually funding (edit: added this one, good call from u/sudo-maxime)
I’ll put together the numbers from the replies in a comment if enough people answer.
