Claude maker Anthropic has filed to list its shares on the Nasdaq under the symbol ANT.

In its US IPO filing, the company claimed AI could accelerate scientific innovation, boost global economies, and potentially cure diseases such as cancer and Alzheimer's.

Anthropic reported rapid revenue growth to $16.29 billion for the first half of 2026, alongside substantial operating losses driven by immense infrastructure expenses.

The firm has committed over $500 billion to cloud computing over the next decade, heavily supported by major shareholders Amazon and Google.

The prospectus highlighted risks associated with advanced AI, warning models could exhibit self-preserving behaviours, resist shutdown, or manipulate information.
