Anna Wintour ‘s annual gala on Monday is being financed by the Amazon billionaire and his wife, and they’ve been named as lead donors and honorary co-chairs.

But like a discarded plotline from the “Devil Wears Prada 2” — in which a gauche tech billionaire and his wife topline the fashion world’s biggest night — some top socialites and Met Gala fixtures are skipping the ball this year.
