Amazon announced Tuesday that it is hiring more than 300,000 workers across the U.S. for the holiday season .

The jobs include seasonal, part-time and full-time roles across Amazon's U.S. core operations network, with new openings expected to be posted weekly from October through December.

Seasonal employees will earn an average of $20 an hour. Full-time operations workers start at a minimum of $20 an hour, according to the company.

Average hourly pay across Amazon's core operations workforce is nearly $24.
