A hippo named Timothy showed off his immense jaw power as he crunched down on pumpkins at San Antonio Zoo.

Feeding time was given a Fall theme ahead of Halloween as the mammals bit down on the winter squash with a satisfying thump.

Hippos possess the strongest bite of any mammal, able to generate up to 2,000 pounds per square inch of pressure, and can open their mouths up to five feet wide.

Despite being herbivores, they are considered one of Africa’s deadliest animals.
