Real Fake Blood Films/YouTube
If you need a lot of fake blood for Halloween this year, this is the video for you. It's a tutorial that shows you how to make realistic fake blood.
It starts with a base of corn syrup plus red food coloring. To make it look real, though, you need to add a little bit of blue food coloring, as well as green and yellow.
But to really go for realistic blood, you need to make it opaque. You can add cornstarch, cocoa powder, or chocolate syrup.
If you are going for a Herschell Gordon Lewis look, add flour. You can add gelatin to obtain a clotted blood look.
If you want a gross texture, tear up some toilet paper and cotton balls into the mix. So you have clumpy, bloody lumps.
