Taking a shower onboard an airplane is wonderfully absurd when you stop to think about it. You are flying in a metal tube at 40,000 feet above the ground, yet there you are standing under warm running water as though you were in a hotel bathroom. On my recent Emirates A380 first class flight from Mumbai to Dubai , I made time for a shower. The flight was short, with breakfast and a visit to the onboard bar competing for my attention. Nevertheless, I was not going to pass up the opportunity to shower before arriving in Dubai.
