A routine whale-watching expedition off the coast of Central California turned into an extraordinary front-row seat to one of nature’s most aggressive hunting displays. Passengers aboard a Sunday cruise with Sanctuary Cruises out of Moss Landing witnessed a pod of transient killer whales—also known as Bigg's orcas—hunting a pod of dolphins in Monterey Bay, sending the helpless prey launching high into the air. The raw power of the hunt was captured by boat captain and Sanctuary Cruises owner Mike Sack, alongside filmer and Director of Marketing Luke Kilpatrick.
