Hello!

By the title you can correctly assume I'm not a geneticist, or scientist at all. But I'm a huge science fiction/horror fan. I know that science fiction takes a lot of liberties with how science acts in our world, but there is SOME truth to it and it's interesting to know what's possible and how it can be easily explained.

I am a huge fan of the game series Gears of War . For those who don't know, it takes place on an alternate, earth-like planet called Sera (Earth doesn't exist, humans naturally evolved on Sera). The entire crust of Sera is riddled with a massive tunnel network called the Hollow. One day, a species of reptilian humanoids called the Locust emerged from the Hollow and onto the surface to begin waging a genocidal war against humanity.
