The Inspiration

I’ve been curating a list of Google Maps for all things New York City for years. It’s a massive list of 19 maps that include 600+ locations. If I come across an interesting reel, I will add it to these listings, so I pass on cool recommendations.

However, Google Maps doesn’t give you the ability to filter your searches to just your maps/lists, so when my daughter, Destinee , and I are out and about, it’s almost useless.

Literally the worst thing about Google Maps

So I made an app called Treks & the City to make these list searchable. Since I make data sexy, it only made sense to play off that theme with this app. 🗺️🫦
