Scotland soccer fans have descended upon Massachusetts for the 2026 FIFA World Cup — and it looks like they've been drinking a few Boston bars dry. Devon Savage, Communications Manager for Samuel Adams , told NewsNation that, from Thursday (June 11) to Sunday (June 21), Scottish fans — or the 'Tartan Army' as their also known — drank four times the amount of beer that is typically sold in a four-day holiday weekend at the Sam Adams Downtown Boston Taproom. This impressive feat meant the venue was tapped out of its flagship Boston Lager by Saturday, resulting in an emergency delivery to keep up with the exorbitant demand. All in all, more than 4,000 pints of Boston Lager were sold, nearly 90 kegs were emptied, and four "emergency deliveries" were made. According to NBC Boston , Beantown's White Bull Tavern was also experiencing beer shortages. "The White Bull Tavern, there was no beer," Scottish fan Dave Orr said.…
