Kelsey Grammer’s ex-wife Camille Meyer wants the Frasier star to be more active in the life of their two children together .

In an Instagram post shared on Monday (Oct. 26), Meyer accused Grammer, who is father to eight children with four different women, of being an absentee father.

“A daughter should never have to wonder whether her father remembers her birthday,” Meyer wrote. “Three days later, and still not a call or a text. You can be a beloved actor to the world, but being a father is a role that requires showing up when the cameras are off. Fame, accolades, and public admiration mean very little if you neglect the people who should matter most.”

Grammer and Meyer met in 1996 and married the following year. They welcomed a daughter in 2001, Mason, and a son in 2004 through surrogacy. She filed for divorce from him in 2010, and they finalized the divorce less than a year later.
