Routing a support ticket or picking an AI agent’s next step rarely calls for a long answer, and OpenAI now sells a service that returns only short ones. The company made its Decisions API generally available Thursday, aimed at the labeling, routing and scoring calls that apps and agents make over and over inside a single workflow.
Decisions runs on GPT-6 Luna and handles questions with bounded answers, drawing on text, images and structured input. OpenAI said it is up to 10x faster than putting the same model to work through the Responses API. Requests go to a dedicated endpoint, POST /v1/decisions , and gpt-6-luna is the only model it supports for now, the developer guide says. Luna was also one of three OpenAI models that entered private preview in Google Cloud’s Model Garden on Wednesday.
