According to court filings, Reiner argues that money earmarked for him under the trust's terms has been improperly withheld and is urgently needed to fund his criminal defense as he faces charges related to the deaths of Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner. The filing centers on a separate individual trust created for Reiner in 1993. His attorneys claim the trust required mandatory distributions upon reaching specific ages, including a payout at age 30 and the remainder at age 35.
