I work in financial institutions and earn approximately $48k. I’ve become an expert in my field. My job is just a five-minute walk from my house. My manager is friendly and laid-back. The company is decent and financially stable.
Two new coworkers joined my team with the same role but have a higher salary than me. Interestingly, I have the lowest salary among them despite having more experience with clients. Upper management never acknowledges my hard work and constantly complains to my manager that I’m not doing enough. They refuse to let me take on any other position in another department.
On my own, I managed the entire branch for several months, achieving the highest sales compared to other branches and veteran employees.
In my company, they offer pension benefits that are vested after three years. Should I stay in this mediocre position that offers pension benefits, or should I look for another job?
