The most special gifts I’ve ever received have come from my children. I’ve always kept everything they made for me, especially from the early years. My daughter, Gloria, made me a heart-shaped ceramic necklace that I keep displayed in my closet. It brings me joy every time I see it.

My son, George, once gave me a drawing of a blue sparkly shoe when he was very little. I remember loving it so much at the time, and looking back, it feels almost like a premonition—years later, the very first shoe we ever created for Larroude was that exact shade.
