Hi all, my partner and I are looking at purchasing a property in the town we live in. It has the opportunity to convert the cellar into a full use room.

Being completely naive no idea how much this would cost and don’t know if I am being optimistic. The room is about 220 square feet in total.

Would like to make it into a home office / snug.

House is good value, but not sure if we could afford to do the works as well and so want to go in knowing worst case scenario.

Has anyone done this before and have any idea on what costs might be? Google is saying circa £1600 per square meter which would put it about £35,000.

In the south east of England (Suffolk) if this is useful!
