Our school has new admin since last year. We now have monthly grade level and SPED team meetings an hour after school. Those of us who are SPED are the only ones (besides admin of course) who have to double up. That's up to 18 hours a year of these after school meetings and our contract says "meetings at admin discretion" and also they do NOT count towards our total staff calendar days. That adds up to two work days a year spent in these meetings, so honestly we could use two days off OR get paid hourly for them.

Then admin keeps accommodating parents for after hour SPED IEP meetings. I understand some parents have to, but it adds up. This bugs on another level too because our school has no union and no pay scale. So we are doing more and more work every year and not even getting a pay raise or have a union to bring up concerns.…
