LETTER: The endless political campaigns

I am tired of the political campaigning, polls and speculation about election results. Americans are being inundated with mailers; relentless print, TV and radio ads; and daily coverage and speculation by the press.

Campaigning should be allowed only six months prior to Election Day. If the candidate can’t clearly convey his or her beliefs in six months, performance becomes questionable.

Also, voting should be limited to one week. Mail-in ballots should be provided only upon voter request.

These common-sense practices would restore the integrity of our elections, increase voter confidence and still provide ample time and access to Americans and Nevadans to cast their vote.
