Advice for getting better at interviews- going blank and giving short answers

I have been given feedback lately from a few jobs that I interviewed for that I need to give more comprehensive answers, that where other applicants took 40 minutes for the whole interview I took 20 minutes (one example). I just freeze up and give super short answers and go blank. I have practiced before interviews in front of the mirror with long answers but when I get in interviews my mind goes blank. Is it even possible to get better? Has anyone experienced this?
