Iodine Contrast Contraindicated for Myasthenia Gravis?

I recently had a patient with MG and had Iodine Contrast listed as an “allergy” with the only reason being Myasthenia Gravis. I’m a nurse and never heard of this contraindication before. I looked into it and the research seems to be very contradictory.

Is this something you allow your patients to have or do you consider it a contraindication?

Does modern contrast actually cause a symptom to flare or lead to a crisis?
