Russia launches vast drone attack on Ukraine

Russia has launched over 1,560 drones at Ukrainian cities in the past two days, marking the largest 48-hour attack since the war began.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that these actions do not suggest the war is nearing an end, contrary to recent comments by Vladimir Putin.

The attacks, which included missiles, have caused significant damage, with images showing vast buildings in Kyiv reduced to rubble.

At least 13 people have been killed and dozens wounded across Wednesday and Thursday, with strikes hitting civilian infrastructure such as a school and a veterinary clinic.

Russian forces fired at least 675 drones and 56 missiles overnight into Thursday, following a barrage of 800 drones on Wednesday.
