The team for extreme adventurer Ash Dykes have reportedly lost contact with the 35-year-old after a 16-year period during his recent exploration of the Congo Basin.

Dykes, a native of Old Colwyn, Wales, has documented his journey on social media, but in the early morning on Wednesday (Oct. 21), Matt, a member of his support team gave an update on Instagram. The world traveler is currently on a 434-mile journey from Central Republic of Africa town Nola to Mossaka in the Republic of Congo.
