M16 – The Eagle Nebula | HOO Narrowband Astrophotography
The iconic Eagle Nebula (M16), captured in HOO narrowband, revealing its dramatic clouds of glowing hydrogen, intricate dark dust lanes, and the remarkable structures surrounding the famous Pillars of Creation.
I wanted to emphasize the rich red emission of hydrogen-alpha while preserving the delicate details and depth of the surrounding nebulosity. The contrasting dark structures give the image a sense of depth, highlighting the complex interplay between interstellar gas, dust, and radiation from the young stellar population.
