Less than two months after narrative-driven RPG sequel GreedFall: The Dying World left early access, its developer, Spiders, is reportedly being shut down. It's claimed the Paris-based studio is being liquidated after parent company Nacon failed to find a buyer.
French site Origami first shared news, citing "several sources close to the matter" and claiming the liquidation request was a "mere formality at this stage". Spiders - the studio behind Steelrising and The Technomancer, but best known for the GreedFall series in recent years - was intended to be sold following the announcement Nacon was filing for insolvency in late February , but "no offer was made to acquire this veteran of European AA video games".
