Honista is a modified Instagram app for Android. People look it up because it adds everyday tools the official app does not offer: saving photos, videos and reels, copying captions, zooming in on profile pictures, custom themes and fonts, and privacy options such as hiding typing indicators and read receipts. The feed is also ad-free.

Installing it is a manual process, since it is not listed on the Google Play Store. In short: download the APK, allow your browser to install unknown apps in the Android settings, open the file and follow the prompts. Sensible precautions are to scan the file first and to note your account details before you start.
