JD Vance credits RFK Jr with weight loss results in off-topic press briefing moment

Calley Means, a senior adviser to Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., resigned from his White House position on Thursday.

Means stepped down due to frustration over a stalled agenda and concerns that special interests were undermining the Make America Healthy Again movement, according to Politico .

During his tenure, Means helped advance initiatives to revise federal nutrition guidelines, phase out synthetic food dyes, and expand research into psychedelic treatments.

The resignation comes shortly before midterm elections following reported stonewalling on policy discussions regarding ultra-processed foods.

In a post on X, Means expressed respect for President Trump and Kennedy, stating he believes the health movement is just getting started.
