Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras was identified as the 20-year-old pilot who died in the fiery Learjet crash in Florida.

Gadelha Filgueiras was the pilot whose voice is heard in the dramatic audio call between the Learjet pilot and air traffic control. The heartbreaking audio captures the pilot declaring an emergency and even screaming in places.

“We’re descending 10,000 feet per minute!” the pilot told air traffic control in the heartbreaking audio. “We are in an overspeed condition descending 20,000 feet per minute,” she said. “We’re going to crash into the ground!” The plane did crash, killing all nine people on board. The cause is under investigation.

The New York Post confirmed with Gadelha Filgueiras’s mom Camila Corteleti that she “was the co-pilot flying a Learjet 60 from Austin, Texas” that crashed in Palm Beach County, and she was also the pilot who is heard in the audio recording.…
