Russia launches vast drone attack on Ukraine

Finland reported suspected drone activity in the skies above its capital region, which led to the temporary suspension of air traffic at Helsinki Airport on Friday.

Finnish authorities, including the Defence Forces, responded to the situation, with Prime Minister Petteri Orpo urging the public to follow official bulletins.

Interior Minister Mari Rantanen later confirmed that the danger was over and the situation was returning to normal, assuring public safety.

Helsinki Airport resumed operations after a three-hour suspension, following the resolution of the suspected drone threat.

While there have been previous incidents of drones straying into Finnish airspace, it was not immediately clear if this event was related to those.
