Grand Theft Auto 6 is now less than a month away, and the hype levels are paying dividends before it’s even remotely playable.

Alongside a massive wave of advertising that’s taken over Miami, Florida, preorder estimates paint a shocking picture of just how excited players are for the long-anticipated sequel, thanks to Sensor Tower .

Over the past six years, a handful of games have had a lot of hype behind them, namely Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II back in 2022. GTA 6 has since utterly dwarfed those preorder numbers, as shown in the graph above: it’s gotten 148 percent more than the CoD game, and is on pace to be far and away the most preordered game since 2020.
