Three people were injured in a shooting near a downtown Las Vegas bus transit center on Sunday, police said.
The Metropolitan Police Department said it is investigating the shooting, which occurred just before 6:50 p.m. near East Bonneville Avenue and South First Street.
“Three people were transported to a nearby hospital suffering from gunshot wounds to include the suspect,” police said.
Police said the investigation is ongoing and asked community members to avoid the area due to a heavy police presence.
An email from the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada stated that the Bonneville Transit Center bays were closed as of late Sunday night and that pickups and drop-offs had been temporarily relocated to surrounding streets.
