Dubai: Sheikh Zayed Road will swap cars for bicycles this Sunday, November 1, as Dubai Ride returns on the opening weekend of the Dubai Fitness Challenge.

The free event offers two routes, a 12km ride along Sheikh Zayed Road and a 4km family loop through Downtown Dubai, passing landmarks including the Museum of the Future, Dubai Water Canal, Burj Khalifa and Dubai Opera.

But you cannot just turn up with a bike. Here is everything you need to know, from registering and collecting your bib to bike rentals, parking and Salik.

When: Sunday, November 1. Routes open at 6.15am
