Ramona Nee, who was set to become Weil, Gotshal & Manges' top leader early next year, is now passing on the role, telling colleagues she will no longer take it, according to three sources familiar with the move.
The decision, which she relayed to Weil's other leaders, comes after mounting partnership exits for the Am Law 50 firm and the termination of its merger talks with Willkie Farr & Gallagher this past week.
