ADP has added Model Context Protocol servers and AI tools to ADP API Central , the platform it sells for connecting workforce data to other applications. The update, announced Thursday, lets employers hook the AI agent of their choice to payroll, time-off and benefits data.

The announcement splits the use cases by role. Employees can get conversational access to payroll, compensation, earnings and labor-cost information if they’re authorized, check and request time off, and ask about benefit coverage and enrollment. Managers can run preboarding, onboarding checks and offboarding tasks, read and update timecards, review attendance, manage PTO requests and answer scheduling questions. Both sets are designed around employee-level data authorization.

Agent access runs over mutual TLS encryption with OAuth 2.0 authentication and authorization.…
