It's not the autistics doing this, it's the NT's. I'm seeing posts about how autism is a trend, and it's being over diagnosed and "look at all the women trying to get diagnosed with Audhd" First off, a lot of adult women are getting diagnosed later in life because back in our day girls were not, like ever, diagnosed with ASD. It was also very rare for girls to get diagnosed with ADHD. Secondly, ASD is under diagnosed. It's extremely uncommon to get diagnosed with autism and not actually have it. "They loosened the criteria for autism" well of course they did! Because autism was a little boy disorder and only little boys who fit the rigid criteria leaving out millions of struggling girls who were masking to survive. It also left out boys/men who are low support needs and didn't fit the criteria.…
