I have been eyeing Wajda's War Trilogy ever since I started getting into film, and after nearly half a decade, I finally own it!

Ashes and Diamonds is the most well known of the trilogy, has it's own Criterion blu-ray, however, it's two prior films, A Generation and Kanał have only been released on Criterion through a DVD release. Not only has the Criterion version of those two never been upgraded to DVD, it is also out of print, which is a real shame because A Generation was the first film in Andrzej Wajda's half-century spanning filmography, and Kanał was the first feature film to ever depict the Warsaw Uprising.

I saved up and was able to purchase this Second Run print, which to my knowledge, might be the only print of A Generation and Kanał on blu-ray. I'm just glad that I now own these important films, they and Andrzej Wajda have been a very important part of Polish cinema.
