Camera Control’s Visual Intelligence shortcut could be more headache than helpful In iOS 18 and iOS 26, long-pressing the Camera Control invokes Visual Intelligence, the Apple Intelligence feature for looking up information using your iPhone’s camera. This essentially meant the Camera Control launched two very different apps: Camera or your assigned photography app with a quick click, or the whole Visual Intelligence experience with a long press. If you meant to just click the Camera Control to launch the Camera app but you pressed a second too long, Visual Intelligence would hijack your experience.
