Lens fans have been banned from attending two Champions League away matches (AP)
Lens supporters have been banned by Uefa from attending Champions League away matches against Leipzig and Liverpool following crowd disorder.
The sanction was imposed after Lens fans lit and threw pyrotechnics during their 3-0 defeat against Club Brugge, forcing the match to be briefly suspended.
Uefa also fined the French club 80,000 euros (£67,000) for pyrotechnic offences and acts of damage, with a third match ban deferred for a two-year probationary period.
The decision means Liverpool will face Lens at Anfield in January in front of home supporters only as they seek qualification for the knockout stages.
Liverpool currently sit third in the Champions League standings having won all three of their opening fixtures in the competition.
