In a ceremony during the commissioners ’ meeting Oct. 22, three employees received special recognition from their leaders for five years of service.

Kim Woodward, finance support specialist for the sheriff’s department, is often the first face people see when they walk into the office in Divide.

“For anyone put in a position of trust, you are responsible for far more than yourself,” said Commander Kevin Tedesco. “Your success is guided by who can support you and help you through challenges, see any mistakes you might make and gain a better understanding of what should be done.”

Woodward was that person.

“My day-to-day interactions are really with the finance specialist. She has been there for me through the thick, through the thin, with all the quirks and challenges that quite often happen,” Tedesco said.…
