Accounting background. Mid-career. All these positions are fully remote.

I was laid off 7/31 due to company financial issues. Position eliminated. Salary was 145k. No performance issues. Got 2 months severance plus 2 months vacation so was in no hurry.

I started new job late September just to keep some money coming in and have a plan B. Salary 115k. Doesn't suck but I don't love it. I still kept looking.

I signed an offer letter 2 weeks ago for a job at 165k. Took 2 weeks for background check. I passed it. I got start date today for 11/5.

Should I quit this job now? I don't feel right engaging clients when I will be leaving in a week. I don't hate this job but it was just to pay the bills. The people I have worked with have been good. Earlier in my career I would have gladly taken this job.

We have plenty of money to ride this out if I am unemployed for a week and a half.…
