The Seattle Seahawks made a pre-trade deadline splash by acquiring guard Quenton Nelson on Tuesday from the Indianapolis Colts, adding an eight-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro to their offensive front.
It’s a massive deal, as the Seahawks haven’t had a former All-Pro offensive lineman since left tackle Duane Brown (2017-21). Brown was five years removed from his last All-Pro season when he joined the Seahawks, and Nelson, 30, last earned the honor in 2020. Seattle gave up only a 2027 third-round pick and a 2028 fifth-round pick to land Nelson and bolster its offensive line. Nelson could be a game-changer for the Seahawks’ run game and pass protection.
