XREAL's Aura, launched October 28, 2026, at Google's Android Developer Summit, is the first wired XR glasses powered by Android XR. The idea is refreshingly practical: glasses under 95 grams on your face, with the computing done by a separate puck you carry β Snapdragon Reality Elite platform, battery, storage and cooling included. The Sony micro-OLED displays run at 120 Hz, and you control everything by hand gestures, Gemini voice, the puck's trackpad, or a paired keyboard. Plug in a laptop over USB-C and the glasses become a large virtual display. Launch content covers more than 150 made-for-XR experiences plus Google Play apps, including the NBA App, Fallout: Factions, and a Nutcracker experience. Pre-orders opened October 28 in the US, Canada, Japan, and South Korea, shipping from mid-November, at $1,279 and $1,499 β or $1,099 and $1,299 on launch offer through December.β¦
