This week’s Stratechery Interview ended up not being an Interview, but rather a conversation with Hollywood super-agent Ari Emanuel . Emanuel is the Executive Chairman of WME Group , Executive Chair and CEO of TKO Group Holdings (the owner of UFC and WWE), and Founder of MARI , a live events and experiences company.

The occasion for this conversation née interview was the recent publication of Emanuel’s memoir, Roll the Calls , a reference to Emanuel’s relentless daily phone call routine; I got on Emanuel’s roll for the first time a couple of years ago, and quickly learned that when Emanuel wants something he gets it.

That’s a theme of his book, and of this interview: Emanuel decided he wanted to have a conversation and ask me some questions too, so that’s exactly what we did.
