On November 15, 2017, 24-year-old Sydney Loofe had just finished her shift as a cashier at a Menards in Lincoln, Nebraska when she went on a second date with a Tinder match she knew only as “Audrey.” But her date was not everything she appeared to be.
Audrey was actually 23-year-old Bailey Boswell. She shared a basement apartment in Wilber, about 40 miles southwest of Lincoln, with her 51-year-old boyfriend, Aubrey Trail.
When Loofe missed work the next morning, her family reported her missing. Nearly three weeks later, investigators found her remains scattered along country roads in southeastern Nebraska. Prosecutors said that Boswell and Trail had already started planning a murder by the time they found Loofe on Tinder.
