An operating 19th-century lighthouse just on the southern tip of Sweden.
Smygehuk, Sweden
About
This pot-riveted iron lighthouse served as a light beacon for the Swedish coast from 1883 until 1973, to be later restored and re-lit in April 2001. It's tower is open to visitors and has a beautiful view from the top. The lighthouse keeper service spaces have been converted into a boutique restaurant and hostel.
The Smygehuk Lighthouse takes part in the annual International Lightship Weekend during which amateur radio operators gather at various lighthouses and engage in radio communication.
